October Snow
Don’t jump in your car and start driving north just yet; this is from October 26, 2005. Two skiers skinning up Wildcat Ski Area in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire after a large (I think it was almost 3 feet?) late Fall snowfall. The snow on the descent was a bit heavy, but pretty amazing for October.
Photo Details: Canon PowerShot S60 point and shoot, 1/640s at f/5.3 and ISO 50. For a digital P&S from 2005, the S60 had the great feature of being able to shoot in RAW. I usually try and bring one of my larger cameras when skiing, but sometimes it’s just more fun to have something that can fit in your pocket.
